• Paraformaldehyde is the informal name of polyoxymethylene, a polymer of formaldehyde (also known by many other and confusing names, such as ‘paraform’, ‘formagene’, ‘para’, ‘polyoxymethane’).
• Paraformaldehyde is slowly formed as a white precipitate by condensation from the predominant species methanediol (formaldehyde hydrate) in solutions of formaldehyde (which may also be called ‘formalin’, ‘formal’, or ‘formalose’) on standing, in an equilibrium.

Application

Paraformaldehyde can be used as a substitute of aqueous formaldehyde to produce the resinous binding material, which is commonly used together with melamine, phenol or other reactive agents in the manufacturing of particle board, medium density fiberboard and plywood.

Transportation

1. Transport vehicles should be equipped with relevant fire-fighting equipment and emergency leakage treatment equipment;

2. The carrier exhaust pipe should be equipped with fire-fighting devices;

3. Do not mix with oxidants, reducing agents, acids, alkalis, and edible chemicals

4. Avoid sunlight, rain, high temperature, fire, and heat sources during transportation

5. Carriers should be thoroughly cleaned after transportation

The goods are packed in inner plastic bags and outer woven bags
